ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA—Mindcubed today announced that it has been awarded a prime contract to modernize Drug Testing Management System (DTMS) for the Pretrial Services Agency for the District of Columbia (PSA). PSA is a federal independent entity within the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA).
PSA maintains an in-house laboratory (Lab), operated by the Office of Forensic Toxicology Services (OFTS) which conducts drug testing for pretrial defendants under PSA’s supervision, offenders under CSOSA’s supervision (i.e., persons on probation, parole, and supervised release), as well as respondents ordered into testing by the D.C. Superior Court Family Court. The Lab performs tests on tens of thousands of samples each month, which translates to millions of analyses for various drugs each year. Using Agile software development approach, Mindcubed is modernizing PSA’s in-house laboratory information management system (LIMS) called the DTMS.
According to the company’s Project Director, Lorraine Cornish, “Our agile system modernization effort will significantly increase system capabilities in quick sprints, make system work well on various form factors, and eventually will reduce overall system maintenance costs in out years.”
