Mindcubed certifies as a Virginia Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned Business (SWaM)

Mindcubed a technology and management consulting company based in Arlington VA was today successfully certified as a Virginia Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) as well as Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned Business (SWaM) by the Virginia Department of Minority Business Enterprise.

“We are thankful to the State of Virginia for giving us the opportunity to participate in these programs. Now Mindcubed will have access to Small Business set-aside programs and procurement’s within the State. We are excited for the opportunities that are ahead of us” said Habib Nasibdar, Founder and CEO of Mindcubed.

About DBE and SWaM Programs:
The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise certification program is a Federal program. The purpose is to increase the participation of certified DBEs in projects funded by the US Department of Transportation and other federal sectors. Federal regulations 49 CFR Part 26 define a DBE as a for profit small business that is at least 51% owned by one or more individuals who are socially and economically disadvantaged and whose management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more of the socially and economically disadvantaged individuals who own it.

The Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned Business (SWaM) certification program is a state program of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The purpose is to enhance procurement opportunities for SWaM businesses participating in state-funded projects.
