Mindcubed certifies as a District of Columbia (DC) and Metropolitan Washington Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)

Mindcubed a technology and management consulting company based in Arlington VA was today successfully certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by the Metropolitan Washington Unified Certification Program (MWUCP). MWUCP participants include the Metropolitan Washington Area Transit Authority (WMATA) and the District of Columbia Department of Transportation (DDOT).

“We are thankful to the District for allowing Mindcubed to participate in the DBE program. Now Mindcubed will be more competitive and have access to Small Business set-aside programs and procurement’s within the District and WMATA. We are excited for the capacity and value we are building at Mindcubed one step at a time” said Habib Nasibdar, Founder and CEO of Mindcubed.

About DBE Program:
The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise certification program is a Federal program. The purpose is to increase the participation of certified DBEs in projects funded by the US Department of Transportation and other federal sectors. Federal regulations 49 CFR Part 26 define a DBE as a for profit small business that is at least 51% owned by one or more individuals who are socially and economically disadvantaged and whose management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more of the socially and economically disadvantaged individuals who own it.
